Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said that there is a possibility Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Japan. "We are expecting further contacts, as well as President Putin's visit to Japan," Ulyukayev stressed. A specific economic content will be in the agenda of the upcoming talks.
The minister also noted that Russia and Japan are discussing the possibility of creation a joint investment project platform. It is planned to be established with the involvement of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
"The Russian side is the Russian Direct Investment Fund, which was established to invest jointly with foreign investors, give them legal and financial comfort. As for the Japanese side, we are working with major institutions such as the Japan Bank for International Cooperation in this direction," Ulyukayev said.
