According to an official statement by defense officials of Pakistan, missile test was considered a success. The Hatf-II missile can hit targets at a distance of 180 kilometers and carry both nuclear and other types of warheads.
Pakistan desires to purchase from China six conventional submarines, as well as to create a joint venture to design these submarines.
It is still unknown what exactly kind of submarines the question is about. It is only reported that air-independent propulsions are to be installed on them.
At the present time it is the Cabinet of Ministers of China that is considering the conditions of a possible deal with Pakistan. Having applied to China to sell submarines, the Ministry of Defence of Pakistan stated that the Naval Forces of the country are poorly equipped and unable to resist the 'growing threat’.
